About the Property

This stunning traditional Perigourdine Manoir is located on a hillside with breath-taking views of the Dordogne valley. The property is beautifully decorated and has been fully refurbished, reflecting the traditional style of the house. There is a gorgeous, heated pool over-looking the valley with views to die for. On arrival, guests are provided with a welcome pack of essentials and local wine.

The Manoir hosts 3 rooms, 1 king-size with dual-aspect views and a double ended bath, double wash basins and shower cubicle. There is 1 other king size room and 1 more bedroom which can be configured as 2 singles or a large double, this also has a shared en-suite. All the bedrooms are beautifully decorated to offer a real home from home feeling. All rooms have a hair-dryer and there is a safe in one of the bedrooms.

There is a large well equipped kitchen, with a seating for all the family and a separate living room, which offers a comfortable place to relax after a day by the pool. There is wifi throughout the house, satellite TV and a DVD player. There is also a selection of board games as well as 2 mountain bikes and helmets for the more active amongst you. There is full WiFi coverage throughout the property and grounds. Please note that the pigeonnier (tower) contains our offices and storerooms it is not accessible to guests

Outside, there are endless views to be enjoyed from the terrace and of course the beautiful heated pool. Pool towels are provided during your stay. There is also a gas BBQ and private patio to enable you to enjoy the joy of al fresco dining or a cocktail as the sun goes down.

Only 1.5km away is one of the best restaurants in the area called Le Bistrot D'Epicure. This is definitely worth a visit, perhaps for that memorable last night dinner. There are also beautiful chateaux of Beynac, Castelnaud and Milandes close by. One visit not to miss is the magical Gardens of Marquessac which is lit by candlelight on a Thursday evening.

Personal recommendation from the owners: "We love to visit Chateau des Milandes, 7km away and have season tickets! The gardens are beautiful and the chateau is a museum of former owner singer Josephine Baker. We also love the local Sunday morning market in St Cyprien where you can have a coffee or glass of wine and watch the world go by."

A welcome pack with local treats and wine will be waiting for you on arrival.

A very special holiday awaits....

Reviews

We stayed at La Baronnie Manoir for 2 weeks with our three young children. It was absoloutlty perfect. The property itself was beautiful, extremely spacious and comfortable and kept to such a high standard throughout, all immucatly presented. The views from the house are magnificent especially from the veranda, although the master bedroom and one other bedroom have the benefit of the beautiful views as well. The Kitchen is fantastic with everything you would possibly need and more included. There is also a big BBQ, that you have sole use of which we found really useful. Our girls loved the pool, which was always a perfect temperature for them to enjoy and often had it all to themselves. The position of La Baronnie Manoir is perfect for exploring all the main tourist attractions, which are no more than max 20 mins away. You also have the river nearly at your door step for canoeing. There are lovely restaurants, cafes and fantastic day and night markets all again very close, so there is always plenty to see and do. The Owners have fantastic knowledge of the area and would be very happy to recommend different places. The Owners were extremely friendly and welcoming, and were so lovely to our children. They offered us advice on different places to visit bearing in mind the ages of our children and what they would enjoy probably more. We will certainly be recommending La Baronnie Manoir to our friends and family and hopefully we will be returning again soon.
The beautiful Manoir, where do I begin? We had a fabulous holiday, the home was fully equipped with everything we needed (and more), beautifully decorated and the views were stunning overlooking the Dordogne valley. Good wifi coverage, even by the pool. We loved the Sunday market in St Cyprien, much larger than we expected with loads of local produce. Exploring the area by canoe is a must, whilst taking regular dips in the Dordogne river to cool down. So many chateaus to visit , and we especially enjoyed Le Jardin de Marqueyssac, the lovely candlelit gardens are magical on a Thursday evening. We were also made so welcome by the lovely owners , very friendly, approachable and informative. Thank you, we would love to return one day. Diolch yn fawr x
