About the Property

The Blanquine is located east of Bordeaux and is situated between picturesque villages which are renowned for their wines and sumptuous truffles. The property has panoramic views across the vineyards, wheat fields and carpets of sunflowers depending on the season. It is a stunning stone built property with beams and exposed stone walls and a characterful fireplace in the main living room. The proportions of the living accommodation are impressive with the vaulted ceiling providing large open plan living and a view of the mezzanine. Tastefully decorated, this property offers the ideal accommodation for a wonderful family holiday.

A curved wooden staircase takes you up to the mezzanine level which in turn leads to 2 large bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom and en-suite are on the ground floor and there is a separate toilet in the laundry area. There is a modern contemporary feel to these rooms, a stylish mix of old and new with more exposed beams and stone walls. Sloping ceilings lead to windows overlooking the grounds with a different picturesque view from each one.

Outside the impressive barn doors leading from the living space there is a large wooden terrace where you can soak up the sun and take in the endless views. Why not while away the sun soaked days on the loungers or cool off in the beautiful swimming pool. For those seeking shade there is a smaller secluded terrace, perfect for a cosy intimate meal or a glass of wine in the evening.

This rustic self-catering escape is utterly charming. The perfect location will enable you to relax and unwind, it is a pure oasis for families to make holiday memories.

The nearest village, Sigoules is a stunning characterful town with an impressive castle and is known for its' wine festival and local produce. Take in the atmosphere at the night markets in nearby Eymet, where there is an incredible festival atmosphere, a truly wonderful place for all the family to enjoy. For those looking for more physical outdoor activities you can rent a kayak and paddle along the Dordogne or board a traditional boat and photograph the abundant wildlife including kingfishers and water turtles.
