Le Capiol Retreat is set in a private road with no passing traffic offering a quiet and secluded retreat. This gorgeous stone house sits on a elevated position in the valley and has beautiful panoramic views of rolling hills and the nearby popular village of Domme.
At the front of the property is a large terrace with views of the countryside where you can take in the imposing grandeur of the property. Steps at the front of the house lead up to a gravelled terrace with the added feature of a tree and climbers across a low wall which creates a secluded and intimate space to wine and dine. The gardens are the perfect place to sit and relax and unwind, to watch the world go by or if you are lucky, a hot air balloon. Whether you want to soak up the sunshine or relax in the shade, this property has something for everyone.
Once inside the property you are treated to a combination of traditional French style with stonework and white washed walls and wooden beams creating warmth and cosiness everyone will enjoy. Lose yourself in the large leather sofas and sit in front of the wood burner and you won't want to leave.
There are three bedrooms which are tastefully decorated with lovely wooden furniture. There are two luxurious bathrooms one of which has high ceilings and wooden beams and is as characterful as the rest of the property.
A short walk from the property leads you to the river Dordogne and the nearby village of Domme, where you can buy local croissants from the boulangerie or some local delicacies for lunch. You can chose from the many activities along the Dordogne from canoeing to swimming in the shallow waters. If it's a more relaxing holiday you are after then relax in the restaurants and bars of the nearby Medieval town Sarlat and take in the atmosphere at the local markets and shops. Delicacies of wine, cheese and foie gras are famous from this region and the perfect accompaniment to your holiday in France.
